Jesus said to his disciples:
“As the Father loves me, so I also love you.
Remain in my love.
If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love,
just as I have kept my Father’s commandments
and remain in his love" (Jn 15:9-10).
We have been redeemed by the Passion, Death, and glorious Resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ. When he ascended into heaven, he left us the Seven Sacraments, which he entrusted to his Church. In this way, his ministry of salvation continues until he comes again, as he promised.
Let us be reminded that, "the Sacraments are efficacious signs of grace, instituted by Christ and entrusted to the Church, by which divine life is dispensed to us" (CCC1131). These are a fountain of life in Christ. From them we receive abundant grace and blessings from God.
Remember: the Sacraments are for the living!
